About SpotNepal

A warmer, fuller picture of Nepal

Told by the people who live it every day — not the postcard, but the real thing.

Living in Australia, from Nepal

Living abroad, one question comes up almost every time I meet someone new: "Where are you from?"

I say, "Nepal." And almost always, the response is the same — "Oh, Kathmandu? Pokhara? Everest?"

The realisation

Nepal — a country full of stories, cultures, languages, and landscapes — is often reduced to just a few well-known names.

Nepal is so much more than that

Places people have never heard of, quietly waiting to be found

Communities with unique traditions passed down for generations

Festivals that never appear on travel brochures or tourist maps

Stories that exist quietly in villages, towns, and everyday life

Different ways of living shaped by mountains, hills, and plains

And yet — most of these stories remain completely unseen

It's not that people don't care

It's that they simply haven't seen it. Nepal hasn't been shown fully — not through real voices, real people, and real experiences.

The idea

That's where SpotNepal was born.

A platform where anyone can share their place, show their culture, and tell their story. Not just the famous destinations — but every district, every community, every voice.
